An exercise of self love.
You do not have to be everything to everyone.
You do not have to be everything every day.
You will have rhythms and seasons.
You will do great things and silly things.
You will waste time in a whirlwind of confusion and chaos.
Humans tend to make mistakes often.
You are human.
You will live in scattered, unpredictable currents.
Keep swimming when you can, and when you can no longer swim, just keep your head above the waves.
You will remain easily frightened and disheartened.
Keep putting yourself out there. It is fine that you simultaneously love and fear almost everything, even your cat. You have a lot of practice holding two seemingly contradictory feelings at once.
You will never again have the end game that you have now surrendered.
Take the next right step, and when even that remains unclear, trust that you know what you know. Your intuition, grace, love, and kindness have been at least as trustworthy as the rest of your life at any given moment, and my friend, they will never leave you.
Keep paying attention to the voices that remind you that everything is going to be okay.
Even if they are dead wrong, you are a better person when you trust sufficiency, kindness, generosity, and love.
Although these things remain ambiguous and seemingly elusive, they are yours to bring, to create, and to give freely.
It is a more beautiful life this way.
Never stop the hard work.
Keep rearranging the furniture.
Honor the value of humanity,
for you and for all.
It is all intrinsically and mysteriously connected.
